My Background
Experienced banker with over 40 years under my belt with a drive to coach leaders and their organizations to excellence.
With over 40 years of experience in finance, I began my career as a Branch Manager with Household Finance Company in 1976 before transitioning to commercial banking in 1980 as a Business Development Officer at Midwest Bank & Trust Company. In March 1987, I assumed the role of President at Midwest Bank of Chicago, where I served as Bank CEO for over three decades. Over the course of my career, the banks I've managed have facilitated loans totaling over $1 billion for community bank customers.
In 2012, I spearheaded the recapitalization and management of Centrust Bank, concurrently serving as CEO of United Community Bancshares, Inc. (UCBI), the holding company for Centrust Bank. Despite challenges faced during the 2008 Recession, UCBI provided vital support to Centrust Bank, which now thrives, sharing success with family businesses and North Shore depositors alike.
I wouldn't dream of offering my services as an Executive Coach unless I had obtained the credential of Certified Executive Coach. Level 1 certification was achieved on April 14, 2023. But not just any certification. I am continuing to work toward achieving the Intelligent Leadership Master Coach Certification from the John Mattone Organization (ILMOVEMENT.com). Final certification will be achieved by September 2024.
